Revolution in Faith: South Koreans Use AI for Sermons and Prayers!: The integration of faith and technology is gaining momentum in South Korea. Approximately 20% of the country’s 650 Protestant pastors have already used ChatGPT to prepare sermons, demonstrating a growing trend of delegating religious tasks to artificial intelligence (AI).

Meadow is not only popular in South Korea, but has also attracted Christians from predominantly Muslim countries such as Pakistan, as well as users in the US and other Western nations. Using OpenAI's technology, Meadow has been optimized by Awake with a vast theological database, and a committee of pastors continuously oversees the accuracy of the answers provided by the chatbot.
A recent survey by the Ministry Data Institute revealed that 20% of South Korean Protestant ministers have turned to ChatGPT to create their sermons, with 60% of them finding the tool useful.
Além dos chatbots, as igrejas na Coreia do Sul estão adotando a plataforma de bíblia em áudio baseada em IA, chamada Biblely, desenvolvida pela startup Voiselah. Esta plataforma utiliza a tecnologia generativa de IA para produzir bíblias em áudio com vozes de pastores de cerca de 50 igrejas.
Durante a pandemia de Covid-19, quando os serviços religiosos presenciais foram suspensos, a demanda pelo Biblely aumentou significativamente.
