Strands of Faith
The strands of faith are different currents of thought and religious practices that originate from the same central belief, but which have different interpretations and rituals.
Catholic
The Catholic strand is one of the oldest and most traditional within Christianity. Pope as the highest leader of the Roman Catholic Church. Catholics believe in the Holy Trinity, the Virgin Mary and the sacraments.
Protestant strand
Protestantism is a branch of the Christian faith that emerged from the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century, led by Martin Luther. Protestants do not recognize the authority of the Pope and value the individual reading of the Bible.
Orthodox side
Orthodox Christianity is represented by the Eastern churches, such as the Greek Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church. This branch of the faith has a rich liturgical and iconographic tradition, with an emphasis on the veneration of saints.
Spiritist Strand
Spiritism is a branch of faith that believes in communication with spirits and reincarnation. Allan Kardec is considered the codifier of the Spiritist doctrine, which is based on the principles of charity and spiritual evolution.
Jewish side
Judaism is one of the oldest religions in the world, with a tradition based on the Torah and rabbinical laws. Jews believe in one God and follow rituals such as Shabbat and the Jewish festivals.
Islamic strand
Islam is one of the world's largest religions, based on the teachings of the prophet Muhammad and Qur'an. Muslims practice the five pillars of Islam, which include the profession of faith, prayer, fasting, almsgiving and the pilgrimage to Mecca.
Buddhist strand
Buddhism is a branch of the faith whose founder was Siddhartha Gautama, known as Buddha. Buddhists seek to achieve enlightenment through the eightfold path, which includes the practice of meditation and compassion for living beings.
Hindu strand
Hinduism is one of the oldest religions in the world, with a diversity of gods and spiritual practices. Hindus believe in the cycle of births and deaths, seeking liberation from samsara through dharma and karma.
Shamanic Strand
Shamanism is a branch of the faith that has its origins in various indigenous cultures around the world. Shamans act as intermediaries between the spiritual world and the physical world, performing healing rituals and connecting with the spirits of nature.
